10pm: Father Son and Friends with Redhead Contests
For over 25 years FSF, a Celtic/Americana folk band, has entertained audiences around the country. From Highland Games, Irish Festivals, Folk and Community Festivals to Theaters and Pubs - their shows will have you laughing, clapping and singing along!
Father Son and Friends were asked to play on the Mumford and Sons "Gentleman of the Road" tour and received an Irish Music Awards Nomination for "Top Traditional Group in a Pub, Festival, Concert". Currently, FSF are in the studio working on their new CD "Road Agents" due out in Summer 2017!
Members of Mountain Dance, will perform some Irish Dance with the band.
West Virginia's own Redhead Festival Dunbar WV Inc. will be hosting contests during the set break for Father Son and Friends! Start grooming your beard, highlighting your freckles, taming your mane (or "knot"), and chugging your beers for prizes and bragging rights! Come for the music, stay for the shenanigans!

7:30- 9:30pm: Mountain Thyme
An all-woman band that has performed Appalachian Celtic music in the region since 1983. They have just released a new recording, their 4th – ‘It’s About Thyme’. The Celtic-flavored recording includes songs, which feature the band’s signature multi-layered harmonies, along with traditional and original tunes.

5 - 7 30pm: Celtic Calling, Opening Kickoff Event
Start your Celtic Calling weekend, or wind down from your week with the skirl of the pipes, WTSQ88.1FM will be doing an outside remote, great bar food, including Fish and Chips, a Guinness or Dubliner Irish Whiskey. Short sets from, Appalachian Celtic Consort, T.J. King and fellow Rogues, John Doyle and ambient bothy from Bog Standard. The contrarians finish off with a set of Irish and Scottish tunes and song.
